S14565: Intro to Electronics in HSSP Summer 2021 (Jul. 10 - 31, 2021)
Have you ever wanted to learn how to design and analyze circuits? If so, this is the class for you! We'll teach you the basics of circuitry, and then delve into more advanced topics based on student interest. And with lab kits that we'll send out to you, you'll be able to build your very own circuits using principles from the class!

H14602: Music Theory in HSSP Summer 2021 (Jul. 10 - 31, 2021)
Ever wanted to learn how music works and how to write music that sounds good? In this class, we'll teach you music theory. We'll show you how to analyze pieces of music, and you'll also write your very own compositions!

M14492: Fibonacci Numbers! Featuring Recursion in Spark 2021 (Mar. 13 - 27, 2021)
The Fibonacci sequence is one of the most well-known sequences in mathematics. The way you can generate the sequence is simple, but there is a lot of theory behind the sequence and its terms. In this class, we'll explore some of the properties of the Fibonacci sequence, along with a few spinoff sequences and if time allows, some linearly recursive sequences.

E14498: Intro to Electronics in Spark 2021 (Mar. 13 - 27, 2021)
Ever heard the terms voltage and current and wondered what they meant? Have you ever wanted to learn how to build your own simple circuits? If so, this is the class for you! We'll teach you the basics of circuitry. Then, with lab kits that we'll send out to you, you'll be able to build your very own circuits using principles from the class!

A14518: Basic Music Composition in Spark 2021 (Mar. 13 - 27, 2021)
Ever wanted to learn how to write your own piece of music? Take this class and we'll teach you how to write your very own basic composition!

E14186: Intro to Analog Transistor Circuits in Splash 2020 (Nov. 14 - 15, 2020)
Have you ever heard of transistors? Do you want to learn what transistors do and how to use them in circuits? In this class, we will go over how transistors operate and how to use them in some common analog circuits. You will learn how to design and analyze several types of transistor-based circuits, such as single-transistor amplifiers, differential pairs, and cascodes. We will consider parameters such as gain, input/output resistance, and frequency response. As time allows, we may move on to topics like temperature sensors, current mirrors/active loading, translinear circuits, op-amp architectures, or analog/digital converters.

X14387: Ice Cream in Splash 2020 (Nov. 14 - 15, 2020)
Come learn the chemistry behind making ice cream! We'll show you how to make ice cream at home with salt and ice, and we'll also talk about the theory of liquid nitrogen ice cream (which we'd normally have at in-person Splash).

E13710: Intro to Soldering in Spark 2020 (Mar. 14 - 15, 2020)
Ever wanted to learn how to assemble circuits? Come to this class and learn basic through-hole soldering! Circuit boards and electronic components will be provided.

W13767: Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) Ice Cream in Spark 2020 (Mar. 14 - 15, 2020)
Want to watch some cool chemistry and eat some cool liquid? Come join us for a delicious treat!!!

C13898: How to Be a Turing Machine in Spark 2020 (Mar. 14 - 15, 2020)
Ever wanted to be a Turing machine? First, you’ll learn about the theory behind Turing machines. Then, you can take part in a live demo where you can be a part of a Turing machine!

W13908: Make Your Own Butter in Spark 2020 (Mar. 14 - 15, 2020)
Learn how butter is made and take home your very own piece of fresh, all-natural butter! While supplies last.

W13923: Prototyping Circuits in Spark 2020 (Mar. 14 - 15, 2020)
Come learn how to build circuits! We'll show you how to make circuits with blinking lights. You can take home the circuits you make!
