Spark 2026 will be March 14-15! Stay tuned for more information!

Welcome to Spark!

Spark has become MIT’s largest annual teaching and learning extravaganza for middle-schoolers! For one weekend this March, students like you will flood MIT's campus to take classes, taught by MIT students, on anything and everything. Come be a part of this iconic MIT event!

Spark is fully student-run by MIT ESP and is fully in-person this year.

Learn Anything!

From painting to cryptology to immunology, Spark has over 100 classes that span a wide variety of areas. Want to take a class on rockets? Build electrical circuits? Learn about the history of memes? All of these could be options open to you!

Over the weekend of Spark, you can get a quick bolt of knowledge with a short introduction to any number of subjects—things you always wanted to learn and topics you never knew existed—or you can dive headfirst into in-depth seminars and intensive workshops!

Who Can Participate?

Students in grades 7–10 can attend Spark. (Unfortunately, absolutely no exceptions can be made to this policy.)

If you are a high school student, we also recommend looking at Splash, which runs in November, or other similar programs around the country.
